Suffering is a Gift – from Journal

Consider it a gift when you experience a very difficult hardship where God is your only option/hope. You will be blessed and built up through the hardship. This will bring you into a time of deep surrender and healing, and it will prepare you for His ministry. Not everyone gets this opportunity. [my notes: King David went through so much more depression and anxiety than me while he was pursued by Saul for 10 to 13 years. God was definitely using that hardship to develop him to be able to use him in the way He wanted. So, Aaron… you know this is what is happening to you right now. I believe you went into the deep surrender part, and you are now experiencing the deep healing, but this may still take a while and you will still suffer, so find hope in God that He is without a doubt preparing you for His work. It won’t be easy, but trust in God then everything will be okay. This is a sure promise, because He loves you].

Core Truths to Hang Onto – from Journal

[Please note: When I made these notes, I had no idea I would ever share them, so I did not write down the source of some of the quotes.]

This is not my life to live… thank God. Christ bought it at an incredible price to redeem me, and now it belongs to Him. It is Christ who now lives through me, the old me is dead. This new life I live through faith in Christ.

God has always provided for me my entire life. Why would He not at this time? Of course He will provide for everything I need! Have faith that God will give you the strength and help to successfully endure this trial. He promised in Isaiah 41:10.

“To live is Christ” means that Christ is our focus, our goal, and our chief desire. Christ is the center point of our mind, heart, body and soul. Everything that we do, we do for Christ’s glory. As we run the “race marked out for us,” we lay aside the entangling sin and worldly distractions, “fixing our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1-2). He is our life.

“We need to remember that God’s care for us is deep, and he will always provide everything we need. He already has.”

“Healing in this life may come. Or we may be called to a deeper and more rewarding journey of faith through our suffering. There’s no denying that the road is hard, but God is here to walk beside us and remind us that He is working in all our circumstances.

Eventually our suffering will come to an end. If we are in Christ, it is only temporary. On that day, when faith becomes sight, we will experience glory that will not be worth comparing to every hard thing we have experienced on this earth.”

Suffering for My Good – from Journal

Through this suffering, God is molding me into a person to be more like Jesus to have a deeper relationship with Him and also to be better used by Him. He is the potter and I am the clay. God is near to the broken hearted. May He strengthen me as I endure and overcome by the power of the almighty Holy Spirit! May I rejoice in this trial since it is being used to teach me and mold me into the person Jesus wants me to be. Whether He heals me or not, He will definitely use the suffering for His glory and for my good.
